Claims you can inspect, each linked to its sources

Sources are split into single-proposition claims. Each claim keeps the evidence that supports it, contradicts it or gives it context, so you can see what is settled and what is contested.

The problem

A summary hides where sources disagree

A fluent summary blends its sources into one voice. You cannot see which page said what, where two sources disagree or how old the evidence is.

How it works

  1. Normalise sources. Retrieved pages are cleaned, de-duplicated and stored with type, host and retrieval date.
  2. Extract atomic claims. Each claim states one proposition, so it can be checked on its own.
  3. Link evidence. Every claim links to sources as supporting, contradicting or contextual evidence, with a short note.
  4. Keep contradictions. When sources disagree, the claim is marked contested. The system does not pick a winner for you.

Evidence and provenance

  • Claim-to-source links are stored when the claim is created. They are not recomputed later.
  • The relationship type is shown as a label and an icon, so colour is never the only cue.
  • Contested claims stay contested until a person resolves them.
  • Every source keeps its type, host and retrieval date.

FAQ

Evidence & Claims: common questions

Does it decide which source is right?

No. It shows the disagreement and the evidence on each side. Weighting and resolution are a reviewer’s call.

Can a claim have no support?

Yes. A claim can remain unverified, and it is shown that way.

Where do claims come from?

From stored sources, whether those came from a research run or a monitor check.
