What you do and what the product does

Six steps take you from a question to an exported action. The product does the retrieval, extraction and comparison; the decisions stay with you.

StepYouSigblaze
State a goal or add a watchlistYou write the question, or list the pages and queries to watch. It builds a bounded plan and retrieves sources, or schedules the checks.
Review the planYou read the tasks and queries. It stores the sources, extracts claims and links each claim to supporting, contradicting or contextual evidence.
Promote a signalYou pick a signal worth acting on and promote it to a draft insight. It carries over the before and after, the evidence and the confidence.
Approve an insightYou approve or reject the draft.Only approved insights feed actions and Ask.
Create an actionYou pick a type: positioning, campaign, battlecard and so on.It drafts from approved insights and links the draft back to its claims and sources.

The stages

Ten stored steps

Each stage produces something saved in the workspace that the next stage reads.

01

Workspace context

Company, product, ICP, market and competitors are stored once, versioned, and attached to each run. Details

02

Research goal and plan

A goal becomes a short list of tasks and queries you can read before anything is retrieved. Details

03

Sources

Retrieved pages are normalised and de-duplicated, then stored with type, host and retrieval date. Details

04

Claims and evidence

Each source is split into single-statement claims. A claim links to evidence that supports, contradicts or adds context. Details

05

Insights

Claims are synthesised into insights with a confidence label and a freshness date. A person approves or rejects each one. Details

06

Monitor

Watchlists re-check public pages and search queries daily or weekly. The first check is a baseline; later checks are compared with the last stored snapshot. Details

07

Signals

A real change becomes a signal with before and after, why it matters, confidence, importance and suggested actions. Promote one to a draft insight to send it through review. Details

08

Brief

The signals of a period become a digest: what happened, why it matters, what to do. Details

09

Actions and outcomes

Approved insights become positioning, campaigns, content, battlecards, outreach, product opportunities or reports. You can record what happened afterwards. Details

10

Ask and reuse

Questions such as “what changed this week?” are answered from stored evidence and signals. Only what is missing needs new research. Details
