A
Action
A piece of work created from an approved insight, such as a positioning option, a campaign direction, a battlecard or a product opportunity. It keeps a trace to the claims and sources behind it.
Atomic claim
A claim that states a single thing, so it can be supported or contradicted on its own. “Priced per seat with a 10-seat minimum” is two atomic claims.
Related: Claim
B
Baseline
The first stored snapshot of a watched page. It records the starting state without raising a signal, so changes appear from the second check.
Brief
A digest of signals for a period: what happened, why it matters and what to do. It ranks items by importance and confidence and links each one to its evidence.
Related: Signal, Importance
C
Claim
One factual statement taken from a source, such as “the vendor lists a 10-seat minimum”. A claim stays linked to the evidence that supports, contradicts or contextualises it.
Related: Atomic claim, Evidence relationship, Contested claim
Confidence
A low, medium or high label for how well the evidence supports a finding. It describes the evidence, not how certain the text sounds, and it is separate from importance and freshness.
Related: Importance, Freshness
Contested claim
A claim that has contradicting evidence. It stays contested until a reviewer resolves it, and downstream work should word it as an open question.
Related: Contradicting evidence, Review
Contextual evidence
A source excerpt that does not confirm or deny a claim but changes how it should be read, such as a changelog entry that explains why an older review no longer applies.
Related: Evidence relationship
Contradicting evidence
A source excerpt that disagrees with a claim. It is kept next to the claim and is not averaged away.
Related: Evidence relationship, Contested claim
E
Evidence relationship
The link between a source excerpt and a claim: it supports the claim, contradicts it or adds context. The relationship is stored with the claim.
Related: Supporting evidence, Contradicting evidence, Contextual evidence
F
Freshness
How recent the sources behind a finding are, calculated from the source dates. Fresh, recent, stale and unknown are the possible values.
Related: Confidence, Source
I
Importance
How much a detected change matters to you, rated from low to critical. A price rise on a main competitor outranks a reworded footer.
Related: Confidence, Signal
Insight
An interpretation written from several stored claims and your workspace context, such as “Meridian is moving up-market”. It lists the claims it rests on and is reviewed before it is reused.
Related: Claim, Confidence, Review
Insufficient evidence
The state in which the stored evidence cannot answer a question. Ask says so and names what is missing instead of filling the gap with general model knowledge.
Related: Confidence, Claim
Intelligence graph
The stored set of sources, claims, evidence relationships, insights, signals, actions and outcomes, with the links between them. Research and monitoring both write to it, and Ask reads from it.
L
Lineage
The traceable path from an action back through insights and claims to sources, readable in either direction.
Related: Intelligence graph, Action
O
Outcome
A recorded result of an approved action, such as a deal won or a campaign that did not move. Counts by action type show what has led somewhere.
Related: Action
P
R
Research goal
A question you need answered, written with the decision it feeds, such as how a competitor positions onboarding for agencies.
Related: Research plan, Workspace context
Research plan
The bounded set of tasks and queries a research goal is turned into. Each task inherits the workspace context, so one prompt does not carry everything.
Related: Research goal, Source
Review
A person's decision to approve or reject an insight or action before it is reused or exported. Review is where a contested claim is resolved or left open.
Related: Insight, Contested claim, Promote
S
Signal
A detected development such as a price change, a removed plan or a launch. It carries what happened, the before and after evidence, why it matters, a confidence label and an importance rating.
Snapshot
The stored text of a page at one check, with its date. A change is the difference between two snapshots, and you can open both.
Source
A page or document that research retrieved, stored with its type, address and retrieval date. Claims are extracted from sources.
Supporting evidence
A source excerpt that backs a claim. A claim with only one supporting source from the vendor itself is only as strong as that vendor statement.
Related: Evidence relationship, Claim
T
W
Watchlist
A set of public pages and search queries that are re-checked daily, weekly or on demand. Watchlists can cover competitors, customers, a market or a topic.
Workspace
The container for one client's or one team's context, sources, claims, insights and actions. Evidence is not merged across workspaces.
Related: Workspace context
Workspace context
The company, product, ICP, market and competitor information that every research run in a workspace inherits. Changes to it are versioned.
Related: Workspace, Research goal
